The year is 1911. When Clara realized that things in the Nevada desert were getting a bit too hard for her small AMISH family, she knew something had to be done.
There is ONLY ONE problem surfaced . . .
That the solution to their problem was she would be shunned by her Amish community.
When she heard of a friend who had found a husband in the papers by becoming a mail order bride, she decided to try her luck, but would she be able to follow through with it?
She loved everything about being AMISH, but without a suitable means to grow food and make money, her family would sink further into the debt their father had left them.
So . . . she decided to risk it all.
For John Hamish, being Amish was everything and for that reason he could not take an English wife though his community allowed it.
He WANTED an Amish wife and along came Clara, but with her came more responsibility than he was prepared for.
When they are forced out of their community by the elders, they go to Ohio where John risked losing the woman he had just found.
Would their new life end their budding romance?
Or will his mail order bride stand by his side through it all?
