This eBook is also a section found in my more extensive resource titled: "Preparing Inventions for Marketing Success" and is being made available for those who are interested in these chapters specifically (listed below).
In this e-book, I - Jim Lowrance relate my personal experience as a successful inventor. In the 1990s, I marketed my own invention, a fishing tackle accessory called The "Rod Floater", after obtaining a patent-pending for it.
Sales became very large which required us (myself and my corporate partners) to license the invention to a major fishing tackle manufacturer in 1996 (royalty agreement) who could continue handling sales and manufacturing. We have been receiving monthly royalty checks from that date to the present.
Before my success in self-marketing the invention I contracted with an invention company who scammed me out of 1,000s of dollars. This did not prevent me however from achieving success after getting past the bogus inventor assistance.
In this e-book, I share my marketing, licensing, patenting, promotion and sales tips knowledge to help fellow inventors achieve success with their own inventions. Also included is a warning about dishonest invention companies who offer invention-submission services to inventors for a fee.
Subjects also covered include the patent process, including information on the low-cost "Provisional Patent" option and "License Agreements" which are contracts that grant marketing rights to manufacturing companies, who pay royalty percentages to inventors for granting these rights.
The Chapters:
CHAPTER ONE: My Personal Invention Success Story
CHAPTER TWO: Marketing Your Own Invention
CHAPTER THREE: Patenting - Protecting Your Invention
CHAPTER FOUR: Promoting Your Invention in the Market Place
CHAPTER FIVE: The Advantages in “licensing” (Royalty Agreement)
CHAPTER SIX: Beware of Dishonest Invention Companies
It is a great resource that covers the basic information for proceeding with a new invention in the market place.
