What would happen if you were to shift and then maintain your focus on the sense of aliveness that you have? This collection of poems answers that question.
The poems capture the experience of turning within, and then finding and falling in love with your soul self. They reflect the challenges of living and loving in awareness and of expressing beingness in all aspects of this crazy, wonderful life.
The author is an ordinary person but the extraordinary happened to her in the quietest and most unexpected way. A surprise encounter led to a dance retreat that was to turn her around and begin a journey that would change her world, herself and everything in it. A crazy, busy life full of going and doing, was transformed by a sense `being’ and of joyful aliveness. Becoming aware of and nurturing her soul Self through meditation and quiet contemplation, led to an awakening and the realisation that she was not just her body and mind. Her new sense of aliveness released creativity, abundance and energy into her life and brought friends and laughter and love from unexpected sources.
What began as the first few tentative steps into newly found awareness, developed into a hop, skip and a jump into self-discovery … the discovery of the Self. This is her muse that inspired this collection of poetry and particularly her love poems.
