At a time when Christianity is seemingly under attack on all fronts, Christians are seeking a safe harbor for their faith. The Apostles' Creed, a 1500 year old statement of Christian beliefs, remains available to be that anchorage. Yet, like many other spiritual traditions in contemporary society, the Creed is slowly being relegated to the dimly lit back-rooms of worship. Moreover, it’s individual elements are being diluted, if not redefined, in the name of modern political correctness.

In this work, from his seat on the second pew, the author seeks to breathe new life into the elements of the Creed. Using life experiences, biblical revelation, and common sense analysis, he goes deep beneath the words that comprise each passage of the Creed to explore the depth and breadth of God's love for His people. In the process, he reminds us that our beliefs are something to be celebrated, if not shouted from the rooftops. The time is now, for young and old alike, to re-examine and reclaim the foundations of our faith so that they are more than rote repetition on a Sunday morning, but instead re-emerge as an everyday force for positive change in a troubled world.
