MIDDIE’S MEMOIRS: An Intellectual and Personal Journey of Belief is a compilation of convictions documented through the years that reflect the many interests of the author in his life-long, person search for truth. Several themes are addressed: banking, coinage, and taxation; politicians and democracy; the origin of the universe; and religious legends in contrast to Secular Humanism. The longest chapter, INCOME TAX SEMINAR, is the verbatim presentation that the author delivered to audiences in the late 1980s, as a representative of the Hawaiian based company, Cornerstones of Freedom, proving why personal, or ‘head’ taxes are unconstitutional. Though seemingly unconnected in theme from chapter to chapter, the reader will come to know a contemporary Renaissance Man who thrilled at the challenge of living and sharing an intellectually honest life.
