A Canadian Mountie is hunting human traffickers in Nova Scotia in this thriller that keeps “the pace at top-speed [with] characters that are unforgettable!” (Suspense Magazine)

Misery Bay, a picturesque fishing village on the Eastern shore of Nova Scotia, is a seemingly idyllic location. But the islands harbor a sinister secret: a human trafficking and drug smuggling operation for the escort services of Halifax. Garrett Barkhouse, a Special Constable of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, has spent twenty years fighting these twin scourges. He’s more than ready to retire . . . but his boss has other plans.

Garrett is sent to his old home town of Misery Bay to establish a police presence on the Eastern shore. It’s not long before the murder of four young girls leads him into a thick web of underground criminality. The investigation leads him to an offshore oil rig, conveniently outside Canadian territorial waters. It seems Global Resources CEO Anthony DeMaio has developed a nice sideline to the oil business.

When a beautiful reporter is caught and kidnapped into sex slavery, Garrett must confront not only drug lords and CEOs but also a fierce hurricane that threaten to topple the oil rig and kill everyone on board.
