Mitch Speed has been a Law Enforcement Officer for over fifteen years. Then in May of 2016, Mitch was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. On that day, Mitch stepped away from work and committed his life entirely to God. Mitch had one request, he asked God to use him and his journey to help others in whatever way God decided.
Prior to his diagnoses, Mitch worked as a Detective for one of the largest law enforcement agencies in the nation. His duty assignment was to conduct investigations into violent criminal cases. Prior to working as a Detective, Mitch pushed a radio car and worked the streets where he handled anything and everything that you could imagine. When a call was assigned to him, or he saw someone in distress, he acted on instinct. He drew from his vast amount of training, but more importantly, he drew from past life experiences to guide him.
Mitch sees the world through a different set of eyes, as his eyes have seen things that are unexplainable on paper. After his diagnosis, Mitch’s life took on a much deeper and more powerful purpose as God opened his eyes and ears to so many things he had been missing throughout the years.
