As the last book in the "Career Kevlar" Series, "Money for Nurses" ventures beyond the stock market and the typical reasons to spend and save wisely. For example, similar to other forms of abuse, hazed and harassed students replicate those behaviors onto the next generation of learners. The result is a corrosive environment that decreases learning while increasing cost, in part because of limited productivity. Taking the maximum amount of sick days, moving from job to job, and working part time are all common situations for the targets of abuse. Finances is actually part of the solution, as taking the steps outlined in this book allow freedom from toxic jobs: the ability to quit a job and still afford food might be satisfying enough to enjoy a career others can't handle. Mr. Angelis is a full time (plus lots of overtime) Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in northeast Ohio and northwest Florida when he is not actively pestering his acquaintances and coworkers to buy this book and his other titles, all published by GG Press. He was most recently interviewed by CNBC about the topic of financial wellness and health planning for nurses.
