When Amber loses her job as a publishing assistant, she struggles to keep her head above water until another job comes along. When a job offer finally comes at an office in her hometown, she discovers she doesn’t have enough money left to move. Luckily, her brother and sister-in-law, John and Jeanette, offer to let her stay with them until she gets some cash flowing again.
At her new job, Amber’s first assignment is to find a romance manuscript to publish. Pickings are slim, though, and the only one that’s even decent is a lesbian love story that makes Amber more than a little uncomfortable. But she’s determined to thrive in her new job, and she takes the manuscript home with her.
Things get interesting when Amber finds her sister-in-law in bed with the manuscript. Together, the two women get cozy under the covers, and Amber comes to realize how powerful the written word can really be.
