Good news and bad news. The bad news is I have to attend the funeral of Niamh tomorrow. I hate funerals and this is going to be a very emotional one. Obviously, I want to say goodbye to my dear friend but it’s not going to be easy.
The good news is related to my father, who still has a law office in Dublin. He phoned me around ten and asked me to meet him for lunch. It was a private matter and so I couldn’t take Aoibhe with me but she took her place behind my desk and said she’d be my secretary for the day. I was quite happy for her to answer the phone but I did ask her not to tamper with my files. Even though they look as though they are in complete chaos, I know where everything is. Just moving one piece of paper could easily throw out my whole system.
