Born in Brooklyn, New York and raised on the south shore of Long Island, Ellen Stange experienced the rhythm and vibe that is unequivocally New York. One can’t escape this, it’s in the DNA of the New Yorker. Like so many of the fortunate people who are born and bred here, exposed to these phenomenal surroundings, the New Yorker inhales everything from the culture around them. The good and the bad all has a profound effect on you. Ultimately you’re enriched, enlightened, created in an unusually unique way. YOU ARE A NEW YORKER! You’re not like anyone else in the world.

This mixture of culturally unique individuals, living in an overcrowded chaotic environment, simply adapting a resilience to their circumstances creates a more adept more involved person. The result is an abundance of strong, creative, talented individuals that reach for higher paths. I decided to write this book, not only to show the world who hails from these parts, but to pay homage to the GREATS that were born here…No other place on earth can boast the volume of notable native born individuals deriving from one place. Not England, nor France, no State in the union can claim the notables that spawn from the regions of New York.

New York State of Fame is a great read for anyone who loves celebrities as well as history. If you’re a New Yorker, you will certainly enjoy finding the people you were unaware were born here. If you’re not a New Yorker, you will love finding out who originated from the state.

Comedians, Fashion Designers, Actors and Actresses, Chefs, First Ladies, Music Legends, Radio and Television Personalities, Politicians, Gangsters, Singers, Composers and Artists are just the tip of the iceberg……

We all know that all New Yorkers love reading about New York and the people of New York.

With New York State of Fame it’s all here.
