Nightingale: Searching for Home is the story of a confused Philadelphia retirement home resident waiting for her daughter to celebrate her birthday. By mistake, she is driven to a train station, hears a Washington train announced, and thinks a favorite childhood hotel is the location of her party. The hotel has been torn down. She is terrified in the coming darkness, wanders aimlessly, and becomes a homeless street person. An African American woman befriends her and a Vietnam veteran protects them.
