It all started on August 23rd. After a mysterious mental illness sweeps the planet en masse, over ninety percent of the human race is turned insane. They scream in the night and take up arms, killing even their own at random. These are not the dead: Each and every one are still human in every way. There is no sense or strategy to the victims, just chaotic madness- and something they call the "White Sky". The better ones are unmistakable from the sane until it's too late. Nobody is immune, not even the survivors. Without warning anyone can turn at any moment. Nobody is truly safe anymore.

Alone in the ruins of his life and home, lone survivor Anthony Reed sets out on a trek across Canada to find anyone or anything that can give him answers. Along the way he finds others like himself; sane and alive- for now. Between the enigmatic Steph and a mysterious girl named Michelle who may just hold the answers, things start to take shape. As the mad world closes in and a bizarre series of seeming coincidences and accidents lead them closer to the truth, all eyes hone in on one innocent young man and his hapless crew. The race begins as affected and survivors alike hunt Anthony down for what he may know.

There are only three rules that run the new world: There is no hope, no cure… and no end.
