Pam and Allison Baker are mother and daughter living alone. Pam likes watching movies and TV shows about ghosts, vampires, and other monsters. Allison does, too, but her mother has warned her that she shouldn't sneak around and do it. But Allison does it, anyway.
Then one night, as she's gathering things for her bath, something under the bed reaches out and oh-so-gently touches Allison's foot. She gets no sympathy from her mother, though. Only a scolding before her bath and bed.
But the thing is still there. It's waiting. It doesn't have to wait long.
