A storm drives Aidan to find shelter in the once terrifying castle that looms over the village. Faced with the possibility of being struck by lightning this seems to be the safer option.

Unfortunately just because he's visited a few times and has yet to be eaten doesn't mean there's not unseen dangers lurking within the castle's enchanted walls. Especially when he's not been invited and the entry hall feels familiar enough that a false sense of security lets him delve deeper than before. And curiosity drives him to catch a glimpse of the castle's inhabitants.

He might be more knowledgeable than his entire village but that's a low bar. He's in way over his head and doesn't even know how much further he has yet to sink.

Aidan's about to find out how different enchanted beings are and just how strange magic can be.

This is the second short story in The Exile's Delivery Service Series. All about an ordinary boy living in a world of magic and monsters.
