They begin to interpret incidents of teenage mischief as Satanic rituals and abandon their skepticism like an old mattress in a flooded basement. When a charismatic pastor launches a crusade against the plague of doubt in town, things quickly get out of hand. At the close of hockey season in Massachusetts, there's nothing like a good old-fashioned witch hunt to take people’s minds off their watery woes.
