The microscopic and telescopic perspective of modern life would be better served by a number of bases, especially very large bases. I have created a system of base notation based upon rotation of positions and flags to create 256 digits. I use boxes with flags to extend these 256 digits into many thousands of digits, opening up the possibility of very large bases. I do not expect these bases to be used in everyday life. We probably would be better off using base 8 or base 16 for our number system. While it is true that we have ten fingers and ten toes, this is not a good enough reason to use base 10 as a number system. This is not my chief purpose, but rather to simplify the use of multiple base systems. If you do not like the design of my digits, I hope that you appreciate the underlying principles that were used to create them.
