This book is a companion to “OLD TIME CHILDREN’S STORIES” hence the similar title to the original. It contains 43 black and white outline illustrations contained in “OLD TIME CHILDREN’S STORIES” illustrated by none other than Heath Robinson, or W. Heath Robinson to be correct. Heath Robinson is better known for his wonderful illustrations of extremely complex and elaborate machinery designed to achieve the simplest tasks.
In addition to the 43 BnW images, we have also included the colour plates to add a splash of colour to this book even before you have put crayon to paper. The original children’s stories were translated by the French by A E Johnson and retold by Charles Perrault. The images are taken from the following stories
- The Sleeping Beauty In The Woods,
- Puss In Boots,
- Little Tom Thumb,
- The Fairies,
- Ricky Of The Tuft,
- Cinderella,
- Little Red Riding Hood,
- Blue Beard,
- Beauty And The Beast,
- The Friendly Frog and;
- Princess Rosette.
However, you may be asking yourself “Why is this an eBook and not a paperback?”
The answer is quite simple. Instead of colouring in a picture once and then throwing away the book when full, with this ebook you will be able to print off as many of the 43 images as you like, and as often as you like ad infinitum.
All pages have been created to A4 size, which is 29.7cm x 21cm or 8.27” x 11.69”.The closest American size is Size A or 8.5” x 11.0”.
