Once Over Lightly is more than just a ghost story.

Isabelle Fortune could be the first woman President. She could do wonderful things for the world if she could only get born. But her chosen parents are divorcing. Time is running out. At midnight Halloween Isabelle must choose a different life.

Lincoln Lightly is dead. As his angel leads him toward heaven, Lincoln meets the soul who would be his granddaughter, Isabelle. He volunteers to return as a ghost to help reunite his daughter, Jeanette, and her husband, Chris. It is October 1, 1973.

Only Lincoln’s dog, Gershwin, can see and hear him. They encounter another ghost, Lightly’s grandfather, Gockie. The old soldier has returned to stop a Vietnam Veteran, Lincoln’s nephew Eddie, from destroying himself.

Jeanette shares a special bond with her cousins, Eddie and Anne Marie. The three must face their personal demons or be destroyed by them. Gershwin, loyal and eager to help, becomes the link between the ghosts and the living.

Reuniting Jeanette and Chris is not as easy as Lincoln thought. While Isabelle and the angel Mario watch from between this world and the next, Halloween’s final hour approaches. Jeanette's choice will determine not only Isabelle’s destiny, but also the fate of the world.
