We have all heard the sayings, a few sandwiches short of a picnic, or sharp as a marble. What we are really trying to say is that the person we are referencing is maybe a little out there, not normal or right in the mind.
I prefer to think of myself as one button off. At first glance all appears right, I look put together and maybe a little effort was involved. But upon closer look my coat is usually buttoned wrong, my gloves don’t match, and my shirt is inside out. This is the group to concern yourself with. We are the ones with strong internal conversations, when we get quiet you should wonder what is happening in our minds. We blend in seamlessly with a crowd but can stand out if wanted. A true chameleon with peacock power.
The following collection of essays are a glimpse at life inside my head, my thoughts at the time of a somewhat normal situation. The unfiltered version of me, which most will never know. Join me as I shop through Kohl’s, battle customers in a fit of rage, and have my own mini meltdowns in the SUPERmarket. You may fear your next dental appointment or 4 hour flight in seat 11B. Sit back, relax, and grab a cocktail. You’re in for a bumpy ride.
