This is the fourth anthology of stories set in the Okal Rel Universe. It honors the theme of secrets rooted in the past that emerge to perturb people’s lives. Like other Okal Rel anthologies, the theme is drawn from one of the main saga novels; in this case Throne Price, in which Erien’s return to court upsets the balance of power between Ameron and Ev’rel. The choice of theme comes from co-editor Sheila Flesher who recognized the “skeleton-in-the-closet” issue as one that could be productive for short stories.

Opus 4 (An Okal Rel Universe Legacy Anthology) includes stories by:
 - M. Alexis Pakulak
- Krysia Anderson
- Nicole Kapphahn
- Mel Farrow
- Hal Friesen

About the Editors:

Lynda Williams is the author of the Okal Rel Saga, an epic science fiction series in ten volumes published by Edge Science Fiction and Fantasy. She holds two masters degrees and a B.A. in Liberal Studies from the University of Victoria. Lynda taught applied computing for nearly two decades, led online teaching innovations at the University of Northern B.C. for fifteen years and has worked in a variety of roles from freelance programmer to journalist. She is currently the Associate Regional Director of the College of New Caledonia in Quesnel, B.C.
Lynda’s ten book series set in the Okal Rel Universe is published by Edge Science Fiction and Fantasy. Recurring themes of the series center around culture conflict and the moral and social impacts of radical changes in technology, including re-written rules of gender relations as a consequence of bio-engineering.

Sheila Flesher works at the Prince George Public Library. Shelia met Lynda Williams during her days as a student at the University of Northern B.C. when Shelia worked, briefly, in Lynda’s web development lab.
