Fifteen years ago Knox and company altered history. In the chaotic Purge that followed, the former Iconocop went missing, and in the intervening years he became an urban legend.
It is now the year 2030, and Morgan—the bastard son of Knox—is being released from the government-run Home, along with eleven Morai teens, to live and learn in Philicity High. Never mind the public outcry from those groups still afraid of Mythcorp and its products; forget the mysterious demonic figure lurking around every corner; look past the zombie boy injecting himself with nanites in the hallway to stay sane; Morgan has bigger fish. Well, Ash is actually the littlest Morai, but his ambition is fit for a king. While trying to figure out what exactly Ash is up to and what it has to do with Nimrod, Morgan jeopardizes his safety and freedom to uncover his own mysterious past. When Morgan realizes that both his and Ash’s destination lies within the condemned walls of Mythcorp it becomes a race across Philicity, braving brimstorms and fouler evils to reach the long abandoned genetics building.
On the way Morgan is followed by his classmate Izzy, a lovely but sassy dwarf girl, and runs into a few of Knox’s old associates. Despite his better judgment, he accepts their help.
But once they’re inside, Morgan might have to put his family reunion on the backburner, because Ash’s plans are far more treacherous and far-reaching than he realized.
