This photo guidebook introduces international tourists to Oze National Park 尾瀬国立公園 in Japan. Oze 尾瀬 is a popular and excellent scenic hiking place. It is located in Japan on the border of Gunma 群馬, Fukushima 福島 and Niigata 新潟 Prefectures.
Although there are a lot of trekking trails in the park, this guidebook shows some of the most highly recommended paths with a lot of photos. You can choose hiking paths from them such as marsh areas, a lake, a waterfall and two high mountains.
One of the most popular spots is Ozegahara Marsh 尾瀬ヶ原 that is a high altitude large marsh located about 1400m (4593ft) above sea level and surrounded by mountains. You will see wonderful scenery of the marsh and many kinds of pretty flowers when you go there in June and July.
The hiking trails around the marsh are for beginner hikers, because the trails are well maintained and mainly flat. However, the trails on the high mountains are not for beginner.
This park is also known for a sightseeing resort, and many cozy lodges and three camping sites are available.
If you like beautiful nature and adventurous experience, you shouldn’t miss this park during your trip in Japan!
If you are a backpacker and traveling on a budget, it is a good idea to read this guidebook before going to Oze. You can plan your trip by yourself more reasonable than using a travel agency.
