The object is intimated at the beginning of the letter by such words as "Son" and "heir"-"God... hath at the end of these days spoken unto us in his Son... whom he appointed heir of all things..." Follow on from that point and ... you find a quotation from the Psalms: "For not unto angels did he subject the inhabited earth to come, whereof we speak... What is man, that thou makest mention of him? or the son of man, that thou puttest him in charge?
