Meenakshi Chaturvedi and Ali Hasan Baig met in college. For Ali, it was love at first sight but coming from a highly hypocritical old Delhi background, Meenakshi knew that in this land of double standards, of Mohammad and Mahadev, Ishwar and Allah can only come together for Gandhi's bhajans. So without a big bang, galaxies receded away from each other but knew for sure that once every few million years they would come together or at least pass within sight of each other.
Time runs out and years change, Ten years later, Meenakshi is a famous designer and Ali is a big time filmmaker in Toronto. They get in touch again, it is around this time when they realize this splendid working dynamics between them, where one's weakness is other's strength. ? They found, not new landscapes but new eyes. Its mid-life and they both realize they've not lived all their dreams yet. And that dreams don't die, they remain right there deposited on the silent shore where they're left and they remain embedded there with the infinity of emotions. But then, life is what happens. While on his way back to Canada Ali meets with a serious accident, he get multiple fractures in his hip joint. What follows is a series of surgeries and he's bederidden for almost an entire year. Ali loses his job, his money, his girls, his casanova persona and above all his confidence. The only surviving force is Meenakshi. That's when Ali gets real and starting from zero in an empty space, shares the agony of staying alone in a cosmopolitan city when you're surrounded by familiar faces, you've girl friends, friends across the globe and yet there is the gnawing emptiness. In his spell of solitude, Ali narrates the turbulence of a lonely life.
Will Ali come back to the roots?
Will he fell better within the safety net of family?
Do Meenakshi and Ali come together.
