This book was written for those who enjoy the beauty of the countryside, with its year round attractions and drama.
As many of us don't like crossing muddy fields or livestock filled areas, the book's aim is to keep the walks to an easy 3-5 miles in length, on mud free paths. It is always recommended that appropriate footwear is worn for these walks, though there will be no muddy fields or rough tracks.
Of particular interest are some of the lovely historic buildings and attractive houses and cottages (a number of which have traditional thatched roofs).
The walks as a collection reflect a rich history and beauty of what was, and still is an agricultural county of importance.
Hopefully, the reader and participant will also learn that Cheshire has more to offer than affluent footballers luxury homes.
This book will benefit those who enjoy getting out in all seasons and those who would like to have an enjoyable form of gentle exercise. For that reason, most of the walks have pass places where refreshments can be bought, or places to sit in nice surroundings where the participant can enjoy their own refreshments.
If you feel the need to follow your progress on a map, the O.S.Explorer maps are useful ,but, of far better value is the relevant A.A. Street Map for the region.
If you enjoy this book please look out for other books in my series.
