Pilgrims of Freedom depicts a dark period in the 1980s and 1990s during which Iraq was under the brutal regime of a mad dictator named Saddam Hussein. It portrays ordinary people trying to survive the psychopathic behaviors of some of the regimes elements, such as the Iraqi security police with their devious minds that invented cruel torture techniques.
