In 2018 Algonquin Park, Ontario, Canada, quietly marked its 125th anniversary. The author has been exploring the Park for almost sixty of those years by canoe, camping and hiking.
His most recent visit in the autumn of 2018, provided time for reflection, and inspired this poem sequence. It is first in a series, set within the Park. Volume 2 is, **Into The Interior,**Volume 3 is, Shanty Runes, (forthcoming).
