Off of his medications Travis shares how his life is much better. He feels amazing and is starting to regain some of the cognitive thinking skills he had as a child. When Travis started medication for psychosis and depression he noticed a rapid decline in cognitive functioning which made him more depressed and more isolated. Now Travis tells his story to prevent the same from happening to others. When Travis first asked for help with social skills for his autism diagnosis he was met with doctors who wanted to do nothing but medicate him and give him counseling in place of social skills coaching. When things got worse instead of better Travis finally decided to stop his antipsychotics and antidepressants. Since stopping his medications Travis' life has been a different story and he thinks clearly, functions cognitively, and has lots of friends. This is one man's story of how powerful antipsychotics and antidepressants poisoned him and made him worse off instead of better.
