This is the third volume in a series of easy to read text books intended for paramedics and other responders to prehospital medical and traumatic emergencies.  Each chapter focuses on a different yet common medical or traumatic emergency situation.

They begin case study based and create a real situation that may be encountered.  They then link the theory of why patients present as they do in each situation to why particular management options are chosen in those situations.  The material is consistent with current prehospital practice, generic and evidence based aligning with peak body and research recommendations.

The series of books has been writtent by a thirty year plus intensive care paramedic veteran with extensive experience in clinical guideline development, evidence based research, road accident rescuer and tertiary prehospital education.
