Tom describes what it means to have a sexual relationship with autism and how puberty effected his life as he learned to interact with women. While puberty may have delayed Tom's interest in sex with women it certainly did not stop it. Now Tom tries to figure out the best way to approach handling his feelings and emotions regarding puberty and sexuality so that he can live a functional lifestyle. Tom is all about being healthy and he describes in this book how having sex improves a person's mental, emotional, and physical well being. Tom says that there are many people who would assume autistic people do not have an interest in sex but in most cases Tom feels that assumption is inaccurate. Tom hopes by sharing his inner most desires, wants, and sexual needs with the reader in this book that their eyes would be opened to the alarming issue that people with autism do indeed have sexual interest and desires to and allow each and every person to start brainstorming together how to help people with autism explore their sexuality.
