In a land far, far away is a vast ocean.  Beneath that ocean lies the realm of the Merpeople led by King Seaton and his son Prince Kaereo.  They live happily, only surfacing when the Sirens cause a shipwreck to rescue the humans involved.

One day, Rhedora, a particularly vicious Siren, decides she wishes to marry the Prince.  She visits the King and declares her intentions, only to be rebuffed.  Angered, she leaves the underwater castle and immediately sings her Siren song, causing a massive shipwreck.

Prince Kaereo rushes to the surface, only to find all the humans dead.  Just as he's about to leave, he hears a soft plea and finds a young maiden barely clinging to life.  He saves her and becomes enamored with her in the process, causing Rhedora to become even more jealous.  This leads to much danger for the Prince, the maiden, and all the Merpeople.  Will the Prince see through Rhedora's manipulations in time to save the maiden and his people, or will the Siren win and take her place at the Prince's side?
