Rebecca has it all: great hair, good grades, steadfast friends, and loving adoptive parents. That is, until the first day of the seventh grade when she discovers two snow-white streaks in her chocolate brown hair running from her scalp to her waist. Her parents reluctantly reveal that she had been adopted as an infant from elves and more changes may be on the horizon. Rebecca struggles to keep her life on keel as she deals with her changing Elven appearance and growing elven powers. Her nemesis since the third grade, who witnesses Rebecca’s powers, subsequently spreads rumors to sabotage her at school. As her social life becomes a cesspool of ridicule, rumors, and misunderstandings, she learns from an elven book that she is not just any elf, but the daughter of the elven King and Queen. She is also the bearer of an ancient prophesy that effects a millenia old conflict within the elven world and one side of that conflict does not want her to live to fulfill that prophesy.

Rebecca must navigate around a clueless school administration, resolve a feud with a friend, hide a growing list of physical changes and poorly controlled magical powers, and hopefully attend the year-end Spring Dance. Her human and elven worlds collide as the struggle between Light Elves and Dark Elves converge on her and the prophesy that she bares.
