Ali Swanson left Melbourne without direction or a plan; the decision to leave was made on impulse as she was now aware that she was the architect of her life, that she had better reconstruct it and reset her compass or she would soon be extinct.
She boarded a coach heading for Queensland - during the journey a violent storm forced the coach to make an unscheduled stop at Segal Bay, a small seaside village somewhere in Queensland. Ali is drawn to the village and decides to stay totally unaware of the supernatural influence surrounding her.
As the Bay presents a serene ambience, Ali finally begins to feel safe, but the undercurrents of her past surface, putting her life in danger.
