Dahlia had never paid much attention as to how her father Christopher ran his business.  She had heard the rumors about his cruelty and greed, but found it easy to turn a blind eye to his behavior.  She knew deep down that she should probably feel bad about the fact that her luxurious lifestyle was financed by his exploitation of his workers, but as long as he put food on the table she didn’t care too much about the details.

That all changed when her father fired Cuauhtemoc Mullins, a charismatic employee who had been advocating for worker rights.  Rather than seeking redress with a lawsuit or simply moving on, Cuauhtemoc decided to take matters into his own hands.  Unfortunately for Dahlia, she would be a central part of his plot for revenge against her family.

Kidnapped from her own home along with her father and stepmother Erika, Dahlia would be forced to watch as Cuauhtemoc humiliated her father by having his way with Erika while forcing Christopher to watch.  The tactic proved effective – Dahlia had never seen her father as wounded and broken.  She didn’t think it possibly for him being in more pain than it seemed he was, but she was wrong – Cuauhtemoc was just getting started, and it was about to be Dahlia’s turn to suffer as her stepmother had.
