This story was originally written and finished a decade ago. When I was sixteen, I started writing poems on a daily basis. My bedroom was on the top floor of my house and every evening, I would watch the sunset. This was my favorite time of the day to write. In my hometown of Pittsburgh there is an equal balance of city life and country air. There are just so many trees and hills that it is easy to be inspired.
One afternoon in the middle of summer, I was sitting on my windowsill looking out at the hills. I got an idea of writing a poem, about a girl who didn’t get along with her mother. Instead this poem, unlike any I had written before that time, made me want to keep writing more about the subject. So, I just let my mind take me, wherever I thought Saph might want to go and what she might want to share.I hope it will take you on a surreal journey.
Of course this story is just meant to be fun, to make you smirk as you’re reading it. If at the end of this tale you feel you can relate to Saph then I will feel that I have conveyed it the way it was intended.
