For years, the government had taken more and more control over the citizens of America. Disease, poverty, and famine became widespread. With the new discovery of Red Gold by the famous scientist Alexander Hubble, hope had once again grown in the people. However, results were not as planned, and America was exiled for tapping into the unknown and using it to experiment biologically. The country was in turmoil already when a drill hit the earth's core and mortally injured the heart of Mother Earth.
