This story is set in Perth, Western Australia. Al Connor has to decide what he is going to do with his life. He isnt the cleverest of blokes, but he has a way with solving problems. His father suggested he join the army as at least he will get fed and have clothes to wear and something to do. Well, he joins up, and soon he is sent to Afghanistan, where he excels in the field.
