David continues to have a trust issue eventhough his abusive stepfather and mother died in a car crash. Mark does his best as a foster parent to remain calm and explain his few rules. Then a deaf child named Freddie comes to live with them for a short stay after his great-uncle is injured. Mark feels a need to carry pen and paper, but David has begun sign language at church.
