Birthday parties are about the kid who is getting older, right? It should not be another regular old, routine event put on by his circus family. I mean, every kid needs freedom to choose new stuff on their day. But what about when the birthday kid doesn't exactly know what he wants? Well, then that kid named Scout may have to turn to the elephant living in his backyard, Ellie.

Ellie is the party queen. Who in the neighborhood has not experienced the wild crack downs of big belly dance moves, wild party games, and outrageaous fun at an Ellie get together. She is the one who can help Scout have the best birthday ever. But will she do it? And will the party stay fun, or switch over to rampages and ruckus with Ellie involved. The only way to know is to read up on Scout and Ellie, The Birthday Party.

Scout tells his side of things for seven to ten year olds who are in to laughing. He tries not to use too many big words. If he does, he's pretty good at figuring out ways to make the story understandable through what is happening around him. He wants to relate what it's like to have an elephant who may mess everything up, but still be liked by everyone. Just what we all want in life, right?
