Scrimshaw, a novella (Deathlings Chronicles #2).

"Welcome to Tuesday the 23rd of October, the day I'll kill my sister and start a war with the undead."

A family tragedy.
A boy haunted by guilt.
A village hiding a bloody secret.

Six years ago, something terrible happened to Tom. Now he must return to the scene of the tragedy and face the dark consequences of his actions. Only he stands between the village of Little Sickle and its annihilation by an army of vengeful, undead pirates.

Scrimshaw is a young adult, horror-fantasy; a tale of guilt, grief and redemption set in contemporary Cornwall. It will delight adults, teens, and anyone who relishes adventures in dark places.

SHORT AUTHOR INTERVIEW

Q: Is Scrimshaw a sequel or prequel to All The Dead Things?
A: Good question. The answer is that it's not either! It's set before the events of All The Dead Things - in the same world - but with a new set of characters.

Q: So, can you read the books in any order?
A: Yes you can.

Q: What genre would describe the book as fitting into?
A: It's Dark Fantasy-Horror.

Q: And why a novella, not a full novel?
A: The story just seemed to fit this form. It's just under 30,000 words, so it isn't a short novella.

Q: Do you plan to write more books in the Deathlings Chronicles?
A: Yes I do. I have plans for another novel and several shorter stories.

Q: Will your next release be a book in the Deathling Chronicles?
A: No. My next release is a young adult novel called And This Boy Loved His Gun. It's a contemporary thriller spliced with horror and sci-fi. A proofreader described it as 'Cronenberg for kids'.  I get what they mean, but it's definitely for young adults and older, not middle grade!

Q: When will this be released?
A: Late June 2017. Not long now.
