Hank Parker is called upon for his next assignment in which he must lead eleven of his fellow SEALs into an unknown Arabic country to evacuate the president and his family before a regime change leads to their deaths. In exchange for their rescue, the president is willing to provide the US government with strategic information.
After studying the schematics, the team decides to penetrate the palace complex through the little guarded gardens. After managing to get into the upper levels of the palace, they run into resistance which quickly alerts the palace guards to their intrusion.
The team, after dividing into groups, enters the corridor leading to the presidential suite. However, an ambush kills two of the team before they find the royal family and two cabinet members. Regrouping, the SEALs are led by the president into a secret passage from a small library.
The tunnel turns into a cave where rafts await them to take them down a river and out the palace. The river takes them to an oasis hidden by hills.
One of the cabinet members chooses that moment to betray his president and takes one of the president's children hostage. The betrayer alerts the palace guards to their location.
Hank jumps into the river, the distraction allowing two of the SEALs to kill the betrayer and rescue the child. Abbas quickly leads them into twisting canyons that the palace guards dare not risk following them into.
After spending a miserable night in the canyons, they decide to launch flares to alert their base to their whereabouts. But within ten minutes, three enemy helicopters arrive and fire down on them. Three more of their team are killed.
Rushing into a shallow cave, the SEALs make a last ditch defense, trying to protect the royal family. Just as the enemy is about to close in on them...
