Earl Silver’s poems open doors of nostalgia to scenes, people, family places and feelings-some long forgotten. His writing takes me back to what I have seen and felt, so that memories, half buried, are reborn. I am sure he will do the same for any reader. Faith in God is alive in these poems and becomes a beckoning invitation to peace and quiet of heart. At times his words are few, but dramatic and succinct so that they bring powerful images to mind. Some of his poems will delight with humour; others create an impression that endures, for they bring beauty and eternity close. Each poem drew me on to the next one. –Roy C. Kenny, Author
Earl’s poems bring us a peaceful comfort, like a warm blanket near a fireplace or a shawl across your shoulders as you sit with your back to a sunny window. Their familiar messages and phrasings kindle and rekindle a soul-deep warmth, reminding us that we are incredibly fortunate to be able to experience and share God’s love. –Barry Brummel, Realtor
