Sid's dream is to become an astronaut, just like his dad, but when Sid finds himself trapped inside a state-of-the-art shuttle and about to blast off into space, Sid wonders if he's cut out for space travel after all.
Meanwhile, back on Earth, Sid's mum has got her legs full, all eight of them, untangling hair extensions that went horribly wrong.
I have a TV programme to thank for Sid’s emergence.
Back in 2007, I tuned into a show about supernatural animals believing I was about to learn about four-legged ghosts. I’m already interested in the two-legged variety so I sat there ready and waiting only to discover the title was a play on words.
It was still interesting though. Especially when they explained how, with the assistance of warm weather thermals, spiders nearly get to fly in space. I thought what a jolly good idea for a story. Sidney was born, and the rest is history.
Snuggle down and enjoy yourself reading all about my boy and his escapades.
Happy reading,
Rosie.
