Frank Benedict, is an aging, guilt-ridden hitman who longs for retirement. His employer, Chicago crime boss Calvin Watkins, has demanded one last job of him. He must travel the coutnry and eliminate five relocated witnesses whose identities Calvin has obtained from a corrupt federal agent. Calvin also assigns Frank a pupil - the aspiring young hitman Jimmy Gatwick, who will replace Frank after he retires - and as some insurance - Calvin's loyal brute Larry. Unbeknownst to Calvin, Lisa Torello, Jimmy's girlfriend and daughter of Calvin's predecessor, also joins the group.
As the roadtrip progresses, targets become more dangerous, and Frank's suspicion of Calvin's ulterior motives grows. Five names might not be a long enough list...
