Welcome to my series of business books, comedic relief in a hum-drum white collar world, designed to make you laugh, cry, laugh again, and do your own “ah-ha” moments. More importantly, it helps us identify that we are not alone as the lie suggests. Through these handy books my intent is to offer the world healing in humourous fashion by relaying situations where we have all thought…what the hell was I thinking?
This book is not about bashing ourselves or others. It’s not about bullying and trying to be better than the next—although if you don’t take hints from this book, perhaps, there are some better than you! It’s about finding a way to bring universal business themes to light so we can relate to one another through humour and recognition of self.
This first book begins a series of business anecdotes that I hope brings those of us in business together. The entrepreneurial explosion brings upon us an epidemic of business, in a good way —there are more of us to support one another with whom we can share our achievements. My style is candid, and in your face, so this is not for the faint of heart. Read on—if you dare.
I thought what better way to express my style than to bring you a series of ‘lessons learned’ in business. It may be things that bugged me that first put this idea to paper, but its universality and humour will appeal to everyone. If it doesn’t, well you know what they say: you can’t please everyone.
Book I – Silly Things Professional Women Do In Business looks at a few scenarios that catch us professional business women unawares, at times. Although this is titled and applies to women in most of the chapters, some of the business themes can be applied across the gender board.
That what the hell was I thinking moment can hit anyone!
