One man questions his religion.
One man acts on his convictions.
Can they be redeemed by love?

***

Father Seamus McCord is a man of the cloth who has convinced himself he can ignore the pestering qualms he's had for years regarding his choice to become a priest and take his final vows, solidifying his devotion to his vocation.  He's justified in his mind that he can wall off the doubts and embrace the joy at being assigned to a wonderful parish.  He has good friends in Northern Virginia, and it is easy to fall into the fantasy of a full life, always ignoring the dark secret he's keeping buried deep in his heart.

Just when Seamus believes he has everything planned, his future is pulled out from under him, and the changes he is facing force him to make necessary decisions he's been putting off for far too long.  It doesn't help when he meets the pastor of his new parish and learns the man has taken an instant dislike to him.

Meeting a handsome man at a laundromat one night only further complicates the situation and clouds his judgment, bringing more problems he doesn't need.  All the old doubts he believes to be safely buried push to the surface upon looking into the man's blue-green eyes as Seamus falls into a spiral, believing the time for prayers of guidance has passed.

If Seamus follows his heart, he might lose his family and his church.  If he ignores that insistent organ and follows his brain, how can he contain the man inside him fighting to get out?

Carter Lee Riggs has made mistakes…one of which changed the course of his life forever.  Once he's finally paid his debt, can he become a productive member of society and control the rage inside him when faced with life's injustices.  He saved a life, but in the process, he nearly took another. His parents disowned him for his actions, and except for his brother's family, Carter's future seems pretty bleak.

One night, a man comes into his workplace, and it almost feels as if Carter Lee's being given another shot at happiness.  It was only a brief encounter, but if Carter had the opportunity to find the man again, might they have a chance at something neither ever expected to find?

Two sinners seeking redemption and guidance happen into each other one night and form a fragile bond, though it seems as if the Universe is conspiring against them when the plans they make together fall apart.  Without any way to contact each other, it seems as if the Universe has won…until they find each other under incredible circumstances and find the connection is still there and has grown even stronger.

If there is a way to atone for being less than perfect while seeking their hearts' desires, will they take it?  Can two sinners be redeemed by love?

Please Note: This book contains material which may be offensive to some readers.  It includes graphic language and/or adult situations and descriptions of sexual activity between two, consenting adult males.  This original, fictional story is intended for adults over 18, is approximately 75,000 words in length, and doesn't end in a cliffhanger.
