INTRODUCTION
What does every person want? Here we are in the 21st Century where capitalism is
integrated in every nook and cranny of our lives. Money flows from hand to hand in a
circular fashion. From employer to employee, employee to vendors, and back around again. But this isn’t a book about capitalism or economics, it’s a book about what people want, what you’ve been looking for, and why what you’ve been getting hasn’t worked.
So what do we want? Well, that depends on which side of the fence you’re on. If you are
a hardworking blue-collar whose had to break their back to keep food on the table and shingles on the roof, then you probably want a break. You probably want to retire, or
have income that doesn’t require you to labor vigorously. If you are a recent graduate with no kids you probably want to find a niche that fits, allowing you to be creatively independent while still being recognized as a part of a team, safely under the umbrella of security and room to grow.
To summarize, I believe people want to live comfortably, without anxiety for
tomorrow, and with the benefit of having plenty of options on how to live their lives.
Idealistically, this would be a birthright, but we do not live in an ideal world, we live in a
world where the plethora of choice is dictated by the amount of notes you have in your wallet or wire. I will assume most people reading this already know that, so I want to suggest that you can live comfortably, because there are ordinary people just like you and me who already are.
