A slight interruption occurred in my writing,
A remodeling project or two, or was it my fighting,
with thoughts and ideals and stories untold,
now I’m back, break is over, I wonder what will unfold.
A few lines here and there, an unfinished verse,
review them all, write more, what could be worse,
the world is changing, fear is in the air,
people are dying, does anyone care.
The water stopped a few thousand feet from his door,
thousands were dead between there and the shore,
the ocean heaved as the earth’s crust ruptured,
flooding four reactors, their cooling pumps foundered.
A slight interruption occurred in the world,
an earthquake, a flood, a war as the earth whirled,
events bigger than us work in ways unknown,
my Jesus cares and will provide a better home.
