Tales of revelation in the small moments of daily lives, these four stories have in common the point of leverage when a choice makes all the difference and the heart is transformed. Whole lives in the balance change or could have changed. Lovely twists on the normal themes of love and relationship, fathers and sons, lives that could have been or now will be, these tales prove that life is such a pleasant surprise.
A writer and musician living with his son in Vermont, Kip de Moll posed 30 years as a building contractor before realizing his passions needed full expression. His book “Zen & the Art of the Midlife Crisis” is nearing publication, a blunt look back at a "perfect childhood", whales, soccer and skiing, fathers and sons, and trying hard for all the right reasons to do the right thing, but failing miserably, a study that ensures he lives today more authentically from the heart.
The story has continued in graphic and emotional detail as his last attempt to earn money from carpentry resulted in a fall from a scaffold and a catastrophic injury to the groin. Living with a catheter for nearly two years, this wound to his sacral Chakra (his penis) has inspired a serious look at men’s sexuality, a battle with an insurance goliath and a miraculous healing after a ten hour surgery—a perfect storm of crisis compiled into a second book he has taken to calling “The Peequel.”
Kip de Moll performs his original music all over New England.
